What we are watching is a long game being played at home and abroad, with the same lesson repeating itself everywhere. Power abhors weakness. Enemies study hesitation. Nations that forget this pay a high price.

That is why foreign policy and domestic decay are not separate stories. They are one story.

Turkey, NATO, Iran, Greenland, Russia, China, the border, the cities, the courts, the media, the universities. It is all connected. The same worldview that excuses tyranny overseas also excuses disorder at home. The same people who cheer “democracy” while destroying it in their own country are the ones pretending we do not see what is happening.

Donald Trump understands this better than most. He does not flatter allies or adversaries because they deserve it. He flatters them because strategy matters. He does not reveal the whole hand. He pressures, he tests, he forces movement. That unnerves the political class because they prefer ceremony to confrontation. But ceremony does not stop dictators or brutal leaders. It does not stop radicals. It does not stop a hostile elite from hollowing out the republic while wearing a smile.

Turkey is a case study in this reality. The people are not the leadership. The people are not the regime. Erdogan has turned a once-secular and strategically useful nation into something darker, more suspicious, more authoritarian. He plays every side for his own gain. That should alarm anyone who still believes alliances are built on trust instead of leverage. Trump knows that he must keep dangerous actors close enough to read, close enough to pressure, and close enough to break when the time comes.

The same principle applies to Iran. The regime is not interested in peace. It is interested in survival, expansion, and chaos. It pushes until it is stopped. It is tested by force, not by pleading. Yet America keeps pretending that threats will soften if we speak gently enough. They will not. Weakness invites more violence. Delay invites more bloodshed.

At home, the danger is just as real. The communist impulse never disappeared. It adapted. It embedded itself in institutions, in party machinery, in education, in media, in bureaucracy. Now it moves openly because it believes the country has been softened enough to accept it. It uses projection, inflation, lawfare, cultural rot, and imported voters to reshape the map. It does not need to win every argument. It only needs enough chaos, enough dependency, and enough silence.

That is why the next election is not about personalities. It is about survival. Can the country still recognize itself? Can voters see through the propaganda long enough to defend their own future? Can enough Americans reject the poison being sold as compassion?

The answer will decide more than a majority in Congress. It will decide whether the republic stands for the next 250 years.
