The CCPs penetration of the US government runs deep - The Voice of Dr. Yan with Ed Haugland

 https://www.americaoutloud.news/the-ccp-penetration-of-the-united-states-government-runs-deep/

In this episode of The Voice of Dr. Yan, my special guest, Edward Haugland, joins the discussion regarding two recent cases against CCP’s infiltration based in New York, involving both state and federal governments.

Former high-ranking official Linda Sun in New York State government was charged with acting as CCP agent.

On September 3, Linda Sun (Sun Wen) and her husband, Chris Hu, were arrested. Sun is charged with violating and conspiring to violate the Foreign Agents Registration Act, visa fraud, bringing in aliens, and money laundering conspiracy. She is alleged to have acted on behalf of the CCP regime. Her co-conspirator Hu was also charged with money laundering conspiracy, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, and misuse of means of identification.

Sun’s career in NY state started since 2009, when she served in NYS’s legislative branch, including chief of staff to then-assemblywomen Grace Meng, who is now a U.S. representative.

In 2012, Sun moved to NY governor Cuomo’s admin, as its director of Asian American affairs and Queens regional representative. She was then appointed director of external affairs for Empire State Development, which handles economic development across the state.

Prior to becoming deputy chief of staff for the Hochul administration, she also worked briefly for the New York State Department of Financial Services. She left Hochul’s executive chamber after roughly 15 months, moving on to a position at the New York State Department of Labor in November 2022.

According to the indictment, SUN found ways for CCP officials to gain access to NYS leaders addressing the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020. Acting FBI Assistant Director Christie Curtis said Sun “used her position… to secretly promote” China’s agenda and “directly threatened our national security.” To note, Andrew Cuomo is under investigation regarding New York’s issuance of deadly guidance that forced nursing homes and long-term care facilities to admit contagious COVID-19 patients.

More evidence suggests that Sun is very active in various activities and events connecting with CCP’s agents and Chinese government. According to Col. Lawrence Sellin’s investigation, Sun has presented a New York State award to Lu Jianwang, who was arrested in April 2023 for operating an illegal CCP police station in New York.

Besides the two NYS governors, the close ties between Rep. Grace Meng (D-NY) and Linda Sun and other CCP’s campaigns are also worthy of investigation.

Grace Meng was born in NY, and her family came from Taiwan. Meng has been a U. S. representative since 2013. After leaving Meng’s team to work with Cuomo, Sun and Meng apparently were still in touch. The X posts from Sun’s now-hidden account @lindasun84 tell a lot. (https://x.com/DrLiMengYAN1/status/1833276700085420406)

NY Post has reported that facilitated by Meng, Sun and her husband visited the White House on May 8, and Meng and Sun took a photo on the steps outside the House chamber.

“The visits raised eyebrows for intelligence and foreign influence hawks curious of how Sun would’ve gotten through US Secret Service background checks with the active probe into her and her husband.” (https://nypost.com/2024/09/13/us-news/ex-hochul-cuomo-aide-accused-of-being-chinese-spy-went-on-white-house-tour-while-under-fed-investigation/)

Like Linda Sun, Grace Meng is also an active leading member of CCP’s United Front Work associations. For example, Meng previously served as “deputy chairwoman” in the Henan Association Of Eastern America (HAEA) based in New York. Now, HAEA prominently identifies the congresswoman as an “honorary chairwoman. As DOJ alleges, the heads of these organizations were supervised, directed, and controlled by Chinese government officials.

Meng also plays the “anti-Asian” card to obstruct the investigation of the origin of COVID-19, which is consistent with Xi-CCP’s strategy for unrestricted biowarfare. In Feb 2021, Meng introduced House Resolution 151, “Condemning all forms of anti-Asian sentiment as related to COVID-19,” responding to the “growth of hate crimes against Asian-Americans, in the wake of Trump’s repeated characterization of COVID-19 as ‘Kung Flu’ and ‘Chinese virus’”. It “urged education and reporting about harassment”, which later drew support from all Democrats. Moreover, before he was charged, CCP’s agent, Lu Jianwang, also had a long history of rubbing elbows with Grace Meng at events.

Recent-arrested fake Chinese dissident YuanJun Tang’s wife works for the Congressional Executive Committee on China.

Yuanjun Tang, a well-known Chinese dissident in New York who had been married to Jen Salen from 2012 to June 2024, had been arrested on charges of secretly spying for Beijing. Though Salen is not named in the filings against Tang and is not accused of any wrongdoing, she has been working for the Congressional Executive Committee on China (CECC)throughout their marriage. The commission organizes hearings and publishes annual reports advising Congress and the White House on human rights and rule of law issues in China. It raises questions.(https://www.rfa.org/english/news/china/china-spying-dissident-yuanjun-tang-08272024103441.html)
