The Information Equilibrium & the Chinese Threat - National Security Hour in America Out Loud

The National Security Hour with Edward Haugland provides critical insights that you’ll not hear anywhere else inside or outside the US Intelligence Community as he addresses the underlying theory for Cognitive Warfare, why the DIME model is dead, and how the latter elements relate to the Chinese threat via Tik Tok and the 360-370 thousand Chinese students in the USA.
The discussion addresses three critical questions that speak to understanding why and how China conducts proactive influence operations against the USA.
1 – What critical theory best explains the ongoing Cognitive War we are in – that is occurring both domestically and globally?
2 – Why is DIME – the Diplomacy, Information, Military, and Economics (or DIME) model dead, and why is it no longer relevant in the ongoing Cognitive War?
3 – What are some examples of the Chinese threat in the context of the Theory of Information Equilibrium?
The Theory of the Information Equilibrium proffers that the balance between societies that advance/advocate for freedom, opportunity, democracy, and individual rights, and those that advance dictatorships, tyranny, autocracies, etc., lay in either the flow or constriction of information in line with the Concept of the Information Equilibrium.
The more open the flow, the equilibrium will shift the balance towards democracy and freedom; the more constricted the flow of information, the balance shifts towards dictatorships, despots, theocracies, etc.
